Prague Castle, Czech Republic

Czech Republic, a landlocked country which has different language (Czech), currency (Czech Koruna, Kč) and most of all it started with a different kingdom in its history – Kingdom of Bohemia. Bohemian influenced Prague presents a different taste of Europe today. For me, it is different because of its architectures from Medieval, Gothic, Renaissance to Baroque and Rococo (“late Baroque), and its rich history since. I will leave the history part to another post, for now, let’s have some pictures for the records.

Nice view over Mala Strana Town from the Castle Hill. “I see a vast city, whose glory will touch the stars! I see a place in the middle of a forest where a steep cliff rises above the Vltava River. There is a man, who is chiselling the threshold (prah) for the house. A castle named Prague (Praha) will be built there.” – Princess Libuše, the sovereign of the Czech tribe.
