Glenfinnan Viaduct, Harry Potter’s dream in Scotland

Day 6 of our road trip, light rain.

P.M: We are among the millions ordinary children who grew up with Harry Potter’s magical adventures. It was such a hit back then and we wonder who doesn’t know who Harry Potter is. That was why we were at the Glennfinnan Viaduct (The Harry Potter Bridge), located approximately 90km from our last stop, Fort Augustus. It was rainy and cloudy and the Harry Potter’s feel was so intense.

Then we heard a honking train, it was the Jacobite train!  “Harry, are you in there heading to school?”

Rainy and these fanatic fans waving with other fanatic fans in the train. Seriously, I hope you have a good day in Hogwarts today, Harry!

Due to the weather and time, we didn’t hike up the hill for a bird eye view of the viaduct. Nevertheless, for once we feel like a child again living up our dreams meeting Harry Potter and chasing after its scenes.

“But you know, happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Tip: Remember to apply insect repellent, too many sand flies. And check the time of the train, we saw it at 16:00-16:20.

Love,
the child in us
